Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 13 August 2026  ·  Last Updated: 13 August 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to FINTECHOISIS ("Payments Repository", "we", "us", or "our"). Payments Repository is an independent intelligence, research, knowledge and information platform covering the broad financial-services ecosystem, including but not limited to payments, banking, cross-border payments, remittances, fintech, financial infrastructure, digital financial services, payment networks, financial technology, regulatory developments, digital assets, and related financial-services markets.

Our website is intended to provide readers, researchers, professionals, institutions, students, analysts and other interested parties with access to research, analysis, datasets, publications, articles, market intelligence, charts, visualisations, references and other informational content.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, store, protect and disclose information when you access or use our website, subscribe to our publications, contact us, participate in research activities, or otherwise interact with our services.

By accessing or using the website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through:

  • Our website and associated webpages;
  • Online research repositories and databases;
  • Contact and enquiry forms;
  • Newsletter and publication subscriptions;
  • Research, survey or feedback forms;
  • Downloads, registrations and gated content;
  • Communications between you and Payments Repository;
  • Cookies and similar technologies;
  • Any other digital service or platform that expressly links to this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy does not necessarily apply to websites, applications, products or services operated by third parties that may be linked from our website. Where you access a third-party website through a link provided on our website, that third party's own privacy policy will apply.

3. Nature of the Platform

Payments Repository is primarily an information, research and intelligence platform. The content available through the website may include information obtained from publicly available sources, regulatory publications, central banks, financial institutions, industry bodies, academic publications, research organisations, market participants, licensed databases and other sources.

We seek to present information responsibly and accurately; however, information may change over time and may contain estimates, assumptions, historical information, projections or interpretations.

Payments Repository does not provide:

  • Banking services;
  • Money-transfer services;
  • Payment-processing services;
  • Investment management;
  • Financial advisory services;
  • Legal advice;
  • Tax advice;
  • Personalised investment recommendations;
  • Credit or lending services; or
  • Any other regulated financial service unless expressly stated otherwise.

Readers should independently verify information before relying on it for financial, commercial, investment, regulatory, legal or other material decisions.

3.1 Current Website Implementation

At the date shown at the top of this Policy, the published GPIR website is a static GitHub Pages site. The current implementation does not provide visitor accounts, authentication, password collection, payment collection, uploads, contact forms, newsletter subscriptions, comments or advertising.

The current site does not intentionally collect a visitor's name, email address, phone number, financial information, precise location or other personal information through a site feature. A visitor may choose to contact the repository owner through a separate external channel; information voluntarily sent through that channel is outside the site's static page implementation and should be limited to what is necessary.

The site stores only interface preferences in browser local storage: the selected language and, where used by the FX ticker, the selected display currency. These values remain in the visitor's browser and are not submitted to GPIR by the site.

The site does not currently deploy an analytics script, advertising tracker, cookie-consent platform, tracking pixel or server-side user profile. GitHub Pages, browsers and external services may still process ordinary connection and request metadata under their own terms; this Policy does not claim that such platform-level processing is absent.

4. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with our website, we may collect different categories of information.

4.1 Information You Provide Directly

You may voluntarily provide information when you:

  • Contact us;
  • Subscribe to newsletters or publications;
  • Request access to research or datasets;
  • Submit a research enquiry;
  • Participate in surveys;
  • Provide feedback;
  • Register for an account, where applicable;
  • Submit information for collaboration or partnership discussions; or
  • Communicate with us by email or through other channels.

This information may include:

  • Name;
  • Professional title or designation;
  • Organisation or company name;
  • Business email address;
  • Telephone number;
  • Country or region;
  • Areas of professional or research interest;
  • Information contained in your enquiry or communication; and
  • Other information you voluntarily provide.

We encourage users not to submit sensitive personal information unless it is specifically required and requested by us.

5. Information Collected Automatically

GPIR does not add a site-level analytics or profiling layer to collect the categories below. GitHub Pages and other infrastructure may process ordinary request metadata as part of serving a public website, under their own policies. GPIR does not receive that information through a current site feature or use it to build visitor profiles.

The browser may expose local, non-transmitted signals to the site's performance-tier code so the page can select an appropriate rendering mode. These signals are read in memory for the current page load and are not sent to GPIR.

The current site does not intentionally collect through its own code:

  • IP addresses or precise location;
  • Browsing history or navigation behaviour;
  • Names, contact details or financial details; or
  • Personal profiles or advertising identifiers.

Any platform-level logs or processing controlled by GitHub or an external service are not controlled by the GPIR static site and should be reviewed in the relevant provider's documentation.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The current GPIR website does not intentionally set HTTP cookies, analytics cookies, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. It uses browser local storage only for the language and display-currency preferences described in Section 3.1; local storage is not an HTTP cookie and the values are not submitted to GPIR by the site.

Future functionality may require a change to this position. If that happens, this Policy will be updated before the relevant non-essential technology is introduced where applicable law requires notice or consent.

The following categories are therefore not currently deployed by the static GPIR site:

  • Analytics and performance cookies;
  • Advertising or marketing cookies;
  • Research-content engagement cookies; or
  • Third-party tracking cookies.

You may configure your browser to clear local storage or block cookies. Clearing local storage may reset language and display-currency preferences. The static site has no current cookie preference centre.

See our Cookie Policy for further detail.

7. Analytics

The current GPIR website does not deploy a third-party analytics service. No analytics provider is configured in the repository's HTML or JavaScript, and no analytics account or event pipeline is part of the current site implementation.

If analytics is introduced in a later, separately authorized change, the provider, purpose, data categories and applicable consent controls must be documented in this Policy before it is treated as current practice.

Possible future analytics information could include:

  • Pages visited;
  • Traffic sources;
  • Device and browser information;
  • Approximate geographic location;
  • Session information;
  • Interaction with content; and
  • Website performance information.

That future possibility is not a description of current GPIR collection.

If a contribution is intended to be published with attribution, we will make this clear at the time of collection where appropriate.

As a result, personal information may be transferred to or processed in jurisdictions outside your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will seek to implement appropriate safeguards, which may include contractual protections, recognised transfer mechanisms or other legally permitted measures.

16. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against:

  • Unauthorised access;
  • Accidental loss;
  • Destruction;
  • Misuse;
  • Alteration; and
  • Unauthorised disclosure.

However, no internet transmission, website, database or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, while we take reasonable measures to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

17. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including:

  • Providing requested services;
  • Maintaining business and communication records;
  • Meeting legal and regulatory obligations;
  • Resolving disputes;
  • Enforcing agreements; and
  • Protecting our legitimate business interests.

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and the purpose for which it was collected. When personal information is no longer required, we may securely delete, anonymise or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable law.

18. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you;

Where you subscribe to a newsletter, publication or other communication from Payments Repository, we may use your contact information to provide those communications. You may unsubscribe at any time by:

  • Using the unsubscribe mechanism included in the communication; or
  • Contacting us directly.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not necessarily stop operational or transactional communications that are necessary for services you have requested.

20. Children's Privacy

Payments Repository is intended primarily for professionals, researchers, students and other individuals interested in financial-services and payments research. Our website is not knowingly directed toward children below the minimum age required under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where such collection is prohibited by applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us improperly, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

21. Do Not Track and Browser Signals
